Disney, Amazon, Yankee Candle, Blue Earth Compost....? What do all these businesses have in common?
The picture above might have been a give away, but all of these businesses started in a garage. We're not quite as successful as the others on this list, but hey, we're no slouches either. We moved out of the garage faster than Amazon did. :)
And as of March 1st, we'll be moving once more to a new home at 18 Midland Street in Hartford. It's a mere stone's throw from our present digs and just off Main Street.
We're really looking forward to our new headquarters. The building is a former rail-to-road warehouse that has been renovated to suit our operations. It's a much bigger space with room for us to grow and expand what we can offer to you, our wonderful customers.
We're also grateful for the opportunity to keep developing our business in the City of Hartford. For us, calling this City home means that we can continue contributing to a rich history of cultural and entrepreneurial spirit. It shouldn't be a surprise that the present climate for small businesses, especially those needing warehouse space, is difficult, to put it mildly. When we began the search for a new headquarters we ran into many roadblocks. But thanks to some key help from our community's leaders we were able to find a space that fits the needs and desires of Blue Earth Compost. This community supports us and our goal is to be there for it in turn.
Our next step is to settle into the new space and after that we're going to throw one heck of an open house. We'll be sure to keep you updated when a date is set. Until then, we'll keep Blue Earth Compost moving on up.
Wishing the best for all of you!
Alex, Sam, Sherrod, Rachael, Josh, Amanda, Angel and Oscar of Blue Earth Compost
