Dump Truck Collection Driver -
This position will focus specifically on the collection of food scraps from our commercial customers. Collections will be performed in a 33,000-pound dump truck that can pick up dumpsters and rolling trash cans. A Class-B CDL is required to operate this truck.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performing pre-trip inspections of truck and supplies
Driving the truck to our customer’s sites to collect their food scraps
During warmer months, cleaning dirty receptacles with attached pressure washer
Tipping food scraps at processing facilities
Tracking data about collections in cell phone app
Requirements:
Class-B CDL License with DOT Medical Card
Clean driving record and ability to pass drug test
Ability to maneuver containers that weigh up to 250 lbs
Must be VERY reliable
Hours & Compensation:
40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, & overtime available
$1,000 signing bonus
$20+/hour, depending on experience
$1/hour raises every 6 months, based on performance
2 weeks of PTO after 3 months, additional PTO accrued over time
401k and Health Insurance options available
Yearly bonuses based on reliability and safety
Compost Collection Driver
This position will focus mostly on the collection of food scraps from residential customers. You will be tasked with driving a delivery-style step van or heavy duty pick-up truck, depending on your route. Other general labor may be assigned, but this is the primary responsibility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performing pre-trip inspections of vehicle, ensuring that all road equipment is stocked and in working order, and cleaning inside and outside of truck weekly
Driving a vehicle to our customer’s sites to collect their food scraps in 4-gallon containers or rolling carts
Using a cellphone application to track data about collections
Loading and Unloading trucks
Delivering compost to customers
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Clean driving record with experience driving commercial vehicles
Must be VERY reliable
Must pass a medical exam
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to use a cell phone application to enter data and for GPS routing
Must be able to work independently and be part of a team environment
Hours & Compensation:
30-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, & overtime available
$16-18/hour, depending on experience
2 weeks of PTO after 3 months, additional PTO accrued over time
401k and Health Insurance options available
