Ready for your Compost?

With Your Help We Are Growing

We are really excited about the direction that Blue Earth Compost is going in. It's become clear to us that this is a business that can and will succeed to change that way that "waste" is treated here in CT. By the end of 2016 we will be able to say that we have more than doubled our business, added significant new customers such as Wesleyan University, purchased a new truck, hired our first employees, and had meaningful conversations with people in government and industry to expand composting in CT. In addition to this, we've found out this week that Blue Earth Compost has been chosen as an one of twelve Honorees for the reSET Social Entrepreneur's Impact Challenge! The competition awards funding and brings regional attention to the most innovative, impactful, and viable start-up social ventures. Businesses that are eligible are incorporated or hold significant operations in New England, have generated less than $1,000,000 in total revenue to date, and create viable, sustainable, market-based solutions to social, environmental, or community challenges. In the next few weeks we will find out if we will be one of the businesses to earn a cash award. None of this would be possible without your support, especially those of you who were with us when we were just starting out as a small route of 15 or so people in 2013. Together we'll get to see more successes throughout the rest of this year and beyond. As always, your loyal compost dudes, Alex and Sam

P.S. Compost is coming your way!

We'll be delivering compost between 9/26 & 10/7. If you have any compost buckets left over from last time, please have them ready for pick-up. Also, if you don't want compost at this time, or plan to keep your compost until the Spring, please let us know.
