Happy New Year Loyal Composters!
Wow! What a great year 2016 was for our humble little company. Alex and I have seen so much growth and are very encouraged by the direction that the business is going in. Here are a few things that we accomplished:
We hired our first two employees, Sam King and Adam Geriak, to help with Business Development and Operations, respec
tively.
We were awarded the top prize ($10K!) in the annual reSET Social Enterprise Trust Social Impact Prize.
We surpassed the milestone of 500,000 total pounds of scraps composted (on to 600,000!).
We reached 100 residential customers and expanded our commercial service from Enfield to New Haven; and
We attended over 60 local events to educate our community about composting.
The momentum of 2016 is certain to keep building and Spring is just around the corner! That means we'll be bringing you compost in late March to early April. If you have any blue buckets from the last delivery, please make sure that you give them back to us as soon as possible. As always, Your Loyal Compost Dudes, Alex and Sam
